What’s so
important about a weekend away?
Numerous reasons come to mind, it is a weekend away together, it is an opportunity to seek to change things in life by engaging with God’s word, you can spend some time deepening relationships and you can share some times of worship.
True, but can’t we do all that at any other time like heading along to church in the weekends? Yes and no.
A weekend away gives you time for deeper discussions and a sense of intimacy unlikely achieved at other times. It gives you space in an increasingly busy world.
Greg Burgess will lead us through three aspects of spiritual disciplines that will help us deepen our relationship with God, to find some space in our increasingly noisy and turbulent world.
- Relating to God through the Bible
- Practicing silence and solitude in a noisy world
- Keeping it simple in a complex world
There is a range of accommodation available, plenty of other activities, the kids will have a separate programme running, and your meals are provided.
