On Christmas Eve – we have a service at 10 am then a special Christmas eve event at 7pm where we can all join in some Christmas cheer and carols and a time to reflect on another family – a young mum and dad, the birth of a son, and divine intervention in history. Prepare Him Room
“Prepare Him Room” is the name of this year’s Christmas Eve Carol Service. The words come from the carol “Joy to the World” written by Isaac Watts in 1719. The full first verse is: Joy to the World, the Lord is come! Let earth receive her King; Let every heart prepare him room, And heaven and nature sing. What’s strange about “Joy to the World” is that there is nothing particularly “Christmassy” about it. Tradition means we sing this carol…
Carols – 7pm Christmas Eve
Join us to celebrate Christmas with carols on Christmas Eve. You are invited to a Carol Service on Christmas Eve and also to Christmas Day service at 9:30 am. The Carol service will be followed by Christmas cake and supper. Do come, bring your friends and family and spend a moment to reflect on Christmas.
