What’s so important about this weekend – church camp
Numerous reasons come to mind why church camp weekend is important. The overarching role of the weekend is embedded very clearly in our mission.
We come together as God’s people, we seek to be transformed through God’s word, we deepen relationships and we spend some time in worship.
Can’t we do all that in small groups and getting along to church on Sundays without going away for a weekend – the short answer to that question is both yes and no.
By spending a weekend together we have the opportunity for deeper dialogue and a sense of intimacy unlikely to be achieved in other settings. Over the years people who have taken the opportunity have commented how the fruitful conversations and the deepening relationships have been a real blessing.
John Jones will take us through three messages on the hope that is on offer in Jesus.
We would encourage you to register for the weekend and be part of this special time. If you cant make it for the whole weekend please register as a day visitor.
Camp is from Friday evening 16th March until Sunday afternoon the 18th of March at Forest Lakes, Otaki.
