Rising Sun – life in a multicultural community

Rising Sun – life in a multicultural community

Global Connections in Mission would like to invite you to this event in early October.

Rising Sun

Increasing cultural complexity

Building bridges across different races and cultures often seems scary, yet if we really are going to “love our neighbour” we need a fresh level of mutual understanding.  In 2016, more than 125,000 international students came to New Zealand from more than 100 countries.  Over 1,000 refugees arrive from more than 20 countries and many more migrate to our shores. How do we extend friendship and  build bridges with these people?

Speakers and Workshops

We have four main speakers covering different areas of cross cultural mission within New Zealand.  The event will consist of both plenary sessions and workshops for you to discuss how this applies within your own context.  Please RSVP so we can ensure we have the catering lined up.  We are living in an increasingly multicultural community.  This presents great opportunities to share our faith in new and exciting ways.  Some churches are already well down this journey and this provides an opportunity to learn from each other as we meet and discuss these topics.
