Luke Broadbent
Luke chairs the team that oversees the youth program at the Anchor. Luke and his wife Rachel joined the Anchor in 2004 looking for a church to start a family in. Because of Luke’s previous experience in youth ministry he was promptly roped into helping run the youth program at the Anchor Church. Since then, Luke has been involved in various capacities at the Anchor church and has 3 teenage children.

Andrea Legg
Andrea has the joy of looking after our lovely youth and our youth team. She is also on our staff team. She is married to André.
Special Events
Dennis Tharagan
Dennis, Sujala and family joined us in 2021 after moving from Dubai. Dennis has the big job of looking after our special events team – the team in charge of Christmas, Easter and Church Camp.
Small Groups
Alistair and Lynda Eves
Alistair and Lynda are our longest standing church members and serve in many areas of the church. They have four adult children and many grandchildren! Alistair serves as part of the eldership team and takes care of our church buildings. They also look after our Small Groups and Pastoral Care team – among other things.
Mission Partnerships
Geoff Lawson
Geoff looks after our mission relationships and also leads our community engagement team. He is married to Kathryn, and they have three wonderful adult children. They have been part of The Anchor since moving to Porirua in 1992.
Technical Team
Lance Robinson
Lance looks after all the technical aspects of our Sunday Services – he is married to Erin and they have been a part of The Anchor since 2012
Mens Ministry
Richard Beauchamp
Hi, I’m Richard Beauchamp. I have been living in the Porirua region for more than 25 years and in Whitby for the past 10 with my wife Rachel and our family, Zac and Xanthe. My older daughter Brittany lives nearby and is married to Tyson. Work wise I work in the Supermarket and Foodservice industry. Linda enjoys looking after our talented music team. She is married to Brendan, and they have two wonderful adult children.
Divorce Care
Tina Francis
Tina has the privilege of looking after our Divorce Care Team and caring for those on the course. She is married to Wayne, and they have two adult children.
Business Team, Anchor Sisters
Alison Lander
Alison leads our church Business team, currently working 1.5 days per week (2 – 5 pm Monday – Thursday). She also leads our Anchor Sisters team.
