Delightful Duties
If you are on a duty and don’t know what needs to be done read on…..
Door Host
As Door Host you are responsible for greeting people as they arrive in the foyer and handing out the week’s newsletter.
Door Hosts please introduce visitors to the Welcomer on duty for the day.
Welcomer
As Welcomer you are responsible for making any visitors feel welcome.
This involves:
- Finding out their name and what has brought them to church today.
- Providing them with a welcome sheet and flyers on church activities including kids and youth activities if appropriate.
- Sitting with them during church or introducing them to others they may like to sit with.
- Inviting them to stay for a cuppa and having a chat with them after the service.
Communion Preparation
This duty involves the setting of the communion table prior to the service and clearing and clean up after the service. A page of instructions on setting up communion is on the back of the cupboard door in the kitchen labelled “Communion”. You do not need to bring anything for this duty the bread, wine and grape juice is pre-purchased.
After Service Coffee
Preparing and cleaning up after morning tea.nbsp; A handy hits guide on preparing morning tea is on the wall in the kitchen next to the zip. Please bring 3 litres of milk, all the other supplies are pre-purchased.
Communion Disbursement
This is the handing around of the bread and wine, and the offering bags. Please talk to the worship leader prior to the service to see if they have any special requirements for the day. Note- If you need to swap the dates you are on communion disbursement can you please let the worship leaders on the dates being swapped know of the change.
Litter
This duty is the picking up of any litter that has been dropped or blown in to the carpark, gardens and entrance ways. Richard Beauchamp kindly mows the lawns as they need doing.
