Hey guys!!
I don’t think anyone got the chance to blog last night so I’ll fill you in!!
On Friday, we did the usual one group headed to the Blacksands slum and another to Eratap village. The walls of the water tank are now done and we are ahead of schedule which may open up some awesome opportunites next week! We had a few sickies but most people are looking up. Wade, one of our YWAM leaders has spent today in bed so prayer for him would be awesome! Yesterday the kids finished school at lunchtime because it was a friday so we had an early program and early finish and a bonfire on the beach last night (with cooked bananas and chocolate – YUM!!)
As for today, it was our rest day so most of us spent the morning shopping in Vila but the shops close at 12 in the weekends so we spent the arvo snorkelling/swimming/relaxing at Hideaway Island. It was filled with tourists which was a bit of a shock to the system, after a week in the villages you realise just how skimpy a bikini is and that actually you can feel more at home with the ni-vans than with all the tourists from your own country!
Hey Guys, Jess here, there is this little girl puppy who is semi living with the people at Efalfal Bay inn. it’s being mistreated, not fed very well and not much access to water. we have been cleaning it up lately, washing her and just basic cleaning. we are also feeding her every night and giving her water. Me and Alex asked the semi owners if we could take her and give her a home back in NZ. they were very happy with this idea becuase they have about 6 dogs already because they just keep breeding, so they said yes. Brad is cool with it as long as it doesn’t interfere with our mission work. my parents say that is is ok aswell and they are really keen to save this little puppies life. we are really hoping that this will be possible becuase it is really complicated, she will have to be quarantined in NZ and it might be a fair bit of money. the youth members are keen to help put in if needed. we are all praying for it to work and we all know that if its meant to be, God will make it happen. I would really like your prayers for it to all go smoothly because we really don’t want this dog to suffer and/or die here in Vanuatu. We have nicknamed her Scar for the time being because she has a scar on her face from being mistreated. so please pray for the youth team, and little Scar because we really want to save her life. Thanks. God Bless. xx Jess
Thank you for your support,
God Bless
Karla =)
