Well Day 2 of the RunRIG Holiday programme is finished now with 73 kids today (Tues) and 68 yesterday (Mon). In a continuation of last year’s programme, we are being reunited with Billy the Bushman and Kimi and Kelly the Kiwis. Only this year the Kiwis have stowed away in Billy’s bag and have found themselves in Australia, and are locked in quarantine.
We have an AMAZING team (as usual) and the kids are really enjoying the awesome craft and games, as well as building relationships with their small group leaders. The team are all dressed in Anchor Kids T -Shirts which makes the team easy to identify as well as promoting Anchor Kids to the community.
Please pray for the rest of the week; that all goes smoothly; for health for the team; for a week free of injuries; that the kids will go away knowing that Jesus loves them and that some (or many) of them will come and join Anchor Kids the following week.
If any of you are free and passing the church this week, please do drop in and see what we are doing. We’ve had a couple of visitors already which has been lovely to have people interested in what is happening this week.
We also encourage as many of you as possible to come down to the church on Thursday from 6pm – 7pm. The Family night is a great chance for parents of these kids to meet lots of people from The Anchor. We’ll even feed you chocolate biscuits and ice cream
Thanks for taking an interest in the children by reading, praying and visiting.
Blessings
Sandy, Chris, Pete and the Team
