Raising funds for Women – Quiz Night

Raising funds for Women – Quiz Night

Grab a group of your girlfriends and come along to raise money for Freeset.

Friday August 7th

6:30 for a 7 pm start

At church – 1 Joseph Banks Drive Whitby

At the moment we are supporting six young women on the first Freedom Opportunity programme.  This is a management training programme aimed at developing young women, from poor backgrounds (who are considered to be at-risk of trafficking) who have achieved a good educational standard and have demonstrated potential for leadership positions.

The young women selected for this programme are expected to fill roles within one of the freedom businesses that Freeset is developing or with a partner organisation. These young women will be the future production managers, supervisors, assistants and office staff, within the freedom businesses, as well as potential administrative, research or social worker staff for Tamar and Justice Ventures International.   On completion of the training the graduate will go on to be influential people within their own families and villages. Their training, education, and personal development, combined with their increased wealth, will raise their status in their family and the community.

We are aiming to raise $1700 for a new sewing machine and overlocker for the training programme.
